Database

• Databases are now per year instead of one database.
• Database now compatible (forward and backwards) with any School.exe version from this point onwards.
• Declaration of database name no longer needed in the Database Setup screen since the database name will always be based on the year (eg: school_2010).
• Introduced the school's starting month in the Database Setup screen. This month is used to determine which school year the school is actually in and therefore which database to use.
• MS Access databases now tucked away under the Databases folder of wherever the application is if the user opts for the Auto Access database setup option, otherwise they are all to be found under a specified folder.
• Prior years not editable.
• Now supports for SQL Server express.
• Uses Main.ini (found where School.exe is located) to store all common configuration info. So it now becomes a simple task to set up LAN PCs, for example.
